Amanda Pollard

Currently coaching: Vital 14-5 Yellow

Amanda began her volleyball career in 3rd grade. She attended Central High School in Aberdeen, SD, where she played volleyball and golf, as well as played club volleyball. Amanda was a 3 year varsity volleyball player and captain, member of the all conference team, named MVP, and won 3 conference titles. After high school, she went on to play as a DS/Libero for 4 years at Northern State University. During her time at Northern, Amanda’s team had the best season start at 9-0, matched the school record at 25 wins, broke the school record with a 21 game win streak, reached No. 2 in the AVCA rankings – while knocking off two No. 1 ranked teams along the way, had the highest hitting percentage in the nation, and appeared in the NCAA Tournament. She graduated with a double major in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education, with a minor in Spanish. Amanda coached a couple of different club teams, and started a new volleyball program during her time there. Amanda moved to Minnesota for her husband to attend Dental School. She coached volleyball at Hopkins, took a year off when she switched districts to teach 2nd grade, and am excited to be joining Vital this year!
