Maddy Amon

Maddy is originally from Louisville, Kentucky and new to Minnesota by ways of Orlando, Florida, Caldwell, New Jersey and Bowling Green, Ohio.  Maddy has fifteen years of volleyball playing experience at top-level clubs, Orlando Volleyball Academy and Kentucky Indiana Volleyball Academy.  She played high school volleyball at Assumption High School, Presentation Academy and finally Bishop Moore Catholic where she was awarded First Team All Central Florida as a senior setter.

She continued her playing career as a libero at Caldwell College in New Jersey where she was the first player in program history to surpass the 1,000 digs mark.  She was a part of two conference championships and the programs first trip to the NCAA Tournament.  She was named to the CACC Fall Academic Team and ADA Academic Achievement Award three years in a row.  She was All CACC Honorable mention in the fall of 2010 after the schools first conference championship.  Along with being named co-captain her senior year she was named CACC Student Athlete of the Month in November 2011 She graduated Cum Laude from Caldwell in 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and Sociology.

After graduation Maddy moved to Bowling Green Ohio to pursue her Masters degree.  She served an assistant coach under Danijela Tomic at Bowling Green State University for the 2013-2014 seasons.  She then coached at Eastwood High School and Premier Volleyball Academy.  Maddy has a Master’s of Education in Human Movement, Sport and Leisure Studies with a specialization in Sport Administration from Bowling Green State University. She is currently teaching in the Wayzata school district and is running all of Vital’s camps and clinics.  This will be her seventh year coaching club volleyball and her 4th with Vital.
