Kyle Poppelman

Currently coaching: Vital 14-1 Gold

I am entering my 24th year coaching, and 2nd with Vital. I have coached boys and girls from 12s through 6 years of NCAA D2 at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside, where I also graduated from with a degree in Criminal Justice.

Notable Achievements:
– 3 top 5 finishes at AAUs
– 2 3rd place finishes at JVA World Challenge in 14 Open and WON last year’s 17 Classic without dropping a set.
– Multiple medals from USAV Qualifiers
– Multiple Badger Region Championship titles
– 10 summers as a Wisconsin Camp Coach
– Coached numerous All-County/Conference players
– 1 State POY in HS (boys) and Conference Libero of The Year (College)
– Have coached over 100 players that have played in college- including some currently coaching collegiality.

Favorite volleyball memories:
– First AAU Challenge Match win to get into the Championship Bracket
– Coming back from down 12-4 in a 3rd set to qualify for USAV Nationals
– Making State for the first time after 6 years in a row of losing in Sectional Final.
