Morgan Penner

Morgan graduated from Northern State University in December 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. As a middle hitter, she was a three-year starter and two-year captain for the Wolves volleyball team where they won back-to-back Regular Season NSIC Championships in 2018 and 2019. In 2019, Morgan earned NSIC All-Conference honors. She helped lead the Wolves to the NCAA Tournament three years in a row in 2017, 2018, and 2019.

In 2021, Morgan transferred to St. Cloud State University where she finished her playing career with the Huskies. In the 2021 season, she helped the Huskies earn a Regular Season NSIC Championship, an NSIC Tournament Championship and helped them score a bid to the NCAA Tournament. Currently, she is the Graduate Assistant for SCSU where she is also completing her Master’s degree in School Counseling.

Morgan is originally from Plymouth and played at Wayzata High School for the 2013-2016 seasons. She was a three-year starting middle hitter for the Varsity Team, and a captain her senior year. Morgan was an All-Conference pick for the Trojans her Junior and Senior seasons and earned All-State Honorable Mention in 2016.

As a high schooler, she played club volleyball for Minnesota Select for her entire club career. She helped her teams earn open bids to the USAV Nationals in the 2014 and 2015 seasons. Morgan was an AVCA Phenom pick in 2015.

Previously, Morgan has coached club volleyball since 2018. She made her debut with Kusler Klinics Volleyball Club in Aberdeen, South Dakota, where she coached for 4 seasons. In 2022, Morgan coached for Velocity Volleyball Club located in Rogers, Minnesota. Morgan is entering her 6th season of coaching club volleyball with Vital Volleyball Club where she is excited to work with student athletes and help them grow the same love she has for her favorite sport.
